FACT: Geothermal systems provide the most efficient, comfortable and environmentally friendly method of heating & cooling.
May 6, 2015 – Recognizing the best green designs in and around Atlanta, Ga., a recent award included an ultra-modern home that uses a ClimateMaster geothermal heat pump system.
The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Atlanta Chapter partnered with Green Building & Design magazine to spotlight Atlanta’s best sustainable designs with the first annual Green Awards.
Receiving an Honorable Mention was a ranch-style home that underwent renovations upon the home owner’s wishes to open the home to it’s wooded surroundings while staying true to the style of the home and becoming an energy-efficient, green home.
To become energy efficient, a ClimateMaster geothermal heat pump system was installed in the home. The geothermal loop was installed vertically under the new driveway. The ClimateMaster system will provide the home’s heating, cooling and hot water.
Take a look at the aesthetically pleasing home and read more about it. The home is about three quarters of the way down the page.
The energy and money savings ability of geothermal systems is well documented. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) geothermal systems are, “the most energy-efficient, environmentally clean, and cost-effective space conditioning systems available today.”
