Heat Pump Manufacturer Supports Local Athlete

May 7, 2010Heat Pump manufacturer ClimateMaster and Air Products Supply proudly announced their support for Colin Cutter today by donating $1,300 to help him fulfill his dream to compete at the International Wheelchair & Amputee Sports Federation World Games.

Colin Cutter was born with lower body paralysis due to Spina Bifida and requires the use of a wheelchair when participating in athletics. Through Wheel Chair Sports USA, Colin, a Piedmont, OK native, has been competing in several competitions since 2007, and has won multiple awards in wheelchair basketball, as well as table tennis and shot-put. In 2009, he received his highest achievement when he won a bronze medal in shot-put for Team USA in Switzerland.

This will be Colin’s last year competing as a junior athlete. Team USA only allows 16 members to compete on the International Level and Colin was chosen because of his outstanding performance in the 2007 and 2008 World Championships. Colin is competing in the Czech Republic as part of the USA Track and Field and Table Tennis Team.

“We are both thrilled and proud of Colin as he embarks on this journey to represent Oklahoma and the entire country,” stated Marvin Leeth of Air Products Supply.

The International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWAS) is an International Sports Organization that governs sports for wheelchair and amputee athletes. The IWAS Junior World Games will be held August 20-15, 2010 in Olomouc, Czech Republic.

ClimateMaster is an Oklahoma City-based manufacturer of water source and geothermal heat pumps. They currently employ over 600 Oklahomans. Air Products supply is a wholesale distributor based out of Oklahoma City that supplies ClimateMaster heat pump systems in the central and western regions of Oklahoma.
