ClimateMaster Rolls Out the New R410A Tranquility27™ Series

OKLAHOMA CITY, April 22, 2004 –ClimateMaster began taking orders at the end of March for the new R410A Tranquility27™ Unit for geothermal water-source heat pump applications. The Tranquility27™ two-speed product line has raised the bar on energy efficiency and environmental safeguards in heating and cooling systems for residential and light commercial use. It is the highest rated COP/EER R410A heating and cooling product available in the industry today. The EER rating of 27 and 4.5 COP at ISO GLHP, or 31.5 EER and 5.1 COP at GWHP, is twice the industry’s minimum efficiency requirements set by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The use of the environmentally friendly R410A refrigerant supported efforts to protect the environment, while at the same time reducing energy costs.

“We have received an enthusiastic response to the Tranquility27™ unit,” said President Daniel Ellis. “Orders are being booked at a rate we did not expect until later this year.”

ClimateMaster currently offers three sizes of vertical units, ranging from 3 to 5.5 tons in the Tranquility27™ product line with the 2-ton model available June 1. The ClimateMaster Business Center began taking orders for sizes 038, 049, and 064 vertical top-flow units on March 22, 2004 for shipment by the end of April. Size 026 vertical top flow unit orders may be placed starting May 5, 2004 for delivery by the end of May 2004. Horizontal and Downflow units in sizes 038, 049, and 064 will be available by mid-September. Splits will be available by the end of 2004. All orders are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

ClimateMaster Tranquility27™ Unit

Engineered for long life and reliability, the sleek stainless-steel appliance-like design features five lift-out service panels providing access to all internal components; new components such as the Copeland’s UltraTech two-stage unloading scroll compressor. With special attention given to improving noise levels with an innovative “dual platform” sound absorbing system for compressor mounting, the high efficiency Copeland UltraTech compressors promise quiet, reliable operation. Switching speeds “on the fly” in starting and stopping along with providing 67% part load capacity improves comfort with longer run-times. The compressor’s capability to “shift on the fly” reduces compressor failures commonly found in other manufacturer’s equipment.
