Tranquility 27 series geothermal and water-source heat pumps use EarthPure® (HFC-410A) Zero Ozone Depletion refrigerant. Beginning in 2010 U.S. manufacturers may no longer produce air conditioning equipment using refrigerant R-22. HFC-410A is the industry-accepted alternative, although it requires a complete redesign of the refrigeration circuit. ClimateMaster is in the process of converting all product lines to this new environmentally-friendly refrigerant.  Tranquilty 27 has led the industry in efficiency and features since the product line introduction in 2004. Now that Copeland has started manufacturing a larger capacity UltraTech™ unloading scroll compressor, ClimateMaster is able to add a size 72 to the product line. Unique Tranquility 27 features such as double-isolated compressor mounting and ECM variable speed fan motor make it one of the quietest units on the market. Standard features such as foil-backed air handler insulation, MERV11 pleated 2” filters (standard on residential units) and dehumidification mode help promote IAQ.ClimateMaster’s Tranquility 27 series of heat pumps are available in sizes 2 tons (7.6 kW) through 6 tons (21.1 kW) with efficiencies up to 31.5 EER and 5.1 COP. Tranquility 27 heat pumps are rated for Water Loop Heat Pump, Ground Loop Heat Pump and Ground Water Heat Pump applications. Upflow, downflow, horizontal and split system configurations provide application flexibility.
