ClimateMaster Announces All New Console Water-source Heat Pump
with Zero Ozone Depletion HFC-410A Refrigerant!

OKLAHOMA CITY, July 26, 2006 - ClimateMaster announces the availability of a new console water-source heat pump with EarthPure® (HFC-410A) Zero Ozone Depletion refrigerant. Beginning in 2010 U.S. manufacturers may no longer produce air conditioning equipment using refrigerant R-22. HFC-410A is the industry-accepted alternative, although it requires a complete redesign of the refrigeration circuit. ClimateMaster is in the process of converting all product lines to this new environmentally-friendly refrigerant.

Console water-source heat pumps are popular in hotels, office buildings, schools and assisted living, where a ductless system may be required. Unit-mounted controls allow the occupant to adjust temperatures for each individual zone, or remote wall-mounted thermostats are also compatible with this product. The console heat pump consists of two main components, the cabinet and the chassis. Typically, the cabinet and chassis are installed together, but with the two-piece design, the chassis can be installed in a custom architectural cabinet.

ClimateMaster's new console water-source heat pump is part of the Tranquility series of heat pumps, available in sizes 1/2 ton (1.8 kW) through 1-1/2 tons (5.3 kW). Efficiencies are noticeably higher than the R-22 products, and the new units are designed for Ground Loop (Geothermal) or Water Loop (Boiler-Tower) applications. All new digital unit-mounted controls are standard with the Tranquility series console. ClimateMaster's Unit Performance Sentinel™ performance monitoring system is built into the control package.
